The Christmas break had been grey cold and wet
It was new years day which was the first sign of sunshine and so after waking late in the morning with a bit of a hangover, jumped in the car and down to the coast.
Lots of families out along the front, with the kids and their new rollerskates and bikes.
The sun set, created a nice warm hue across the skies, nothing dramatic but a nice end to the day. Before the light was gone, I managed to get these shots of the old fish stores, painted black with spotlights illuminating the textures on the side of the wooden structures.
These are more simple and graphic compared to my normal style. The towers look foreboding and give an impression of height and presence.
